We hope you had a fantastic time celebrating the start of 2023, surrounded by your friends, family, and loved ones (and hopefully your head wasn’t too sore in the morning!).

We love this time of year.

It’s the time where it feels so natural to reflect and reassess. To look not only at how far we’ve come but take the time to think about where we’re going (and where we’d like to go).

With that in mind, we want to share 4 things you can start doing TODAY that will help improve your health in 2023 and beyond.

#1. Drink more water

When you consider that around 60% of our body is made up of water, it’s easy to see why simply drinking more water can have an immediate and drastic effect on your overall well-being.

While it’s recommended we get most of our hydration through water (and we recommend carrying a reusable water bottle with you) – we can also get hydration from some soft drinks and herbal teas.

And if you’re not sure if you’re drinking enough, the answer actually lies in your pee!

In fact, there are free charts you can find that will help you assess your hydration levels every time you pop to the loo. Just Google it!

And although people often talk about the dangers of drinking too much water, this is WAY less common than you think and you’d have to be downing H2O at a crazy rate for it to actually be dangerous.

#2. Eat more fruit and vegetables

All the common bugs and colds are still doing the rounds – especially because our immune systems are impacted by the lack of sunshine (which affects our vitamin D production) and the cold weather.

One of the most natural but effective ways to bolster our immunity is through our diet. Ensuring we’re including quality fruits and vegetables in our diet ensures we’re getting the right vitamins and minerals needed to stay healthy.

Why not try tossing them into every meal and seeing how you feel? If you’ve got picky little ones (or big ones!) at home, blending can make it easy to ‘sneak’ veg into meals

#3. Move it

We’ve said it a hundred times, and we have no doubt we’ll say it a hundred more:

Motion is lotion.

Seriously, our bodies are designed to move. A huge number of our patients find that when they start walking, stretching, and just moving more (and more often), their overall health and wellness improves drastically.

You don’t need to do anything bonkers. Even getting up and moving every hour and going for a small walk each day will make a big difference

#4. Get adjusted

Ok, so you could say we’re a bit biased here, but it’d be impossible not to be when we’ve seen the changes our patients have achieved!

Joking aside, if your body is out of alignment you’re fighting an uphill battle when it comes to being healthier.

Regular adjustments can help with mental clarity, pain relief, your overall function and wellness – amplifying the impact of any other activities you do.
